How do I set up Moises Stems on a DAW?

  • Updated

Setting up the Stems Plugin in your main Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) is straightforward. First, install the plugin by installing our Desktop App.

Open your newly installed desktop app and click on the tab named "Plugins"

Below the "Stems" description, click on the button named "install" (note: the STEMS plugin is available for PRO subscribers only). This will install the plugin on your machine in the following formats: AU, VST3, and AAX.

You may be prompted to enter your password to install the plugin.

Once installed, the plugin should be available in your DAW.

To use the Moises plugin, create a new audio track in your DAW and look for "Stems" on your list of available plugins.

Once the plugin is added to your audio track, you can easily sync all your previously uploaded songs to Moises and seamlessly drag the stems of choice directly into your project in your DAW.

Set the correct BPM on your DAW before importing the stems into your project.

If you're having trouble getting the plugin to work, make sure you can find the "stems" file in the following locations on your hard drive (macOS):

AU: /Users/"your username"/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/Stems.component

VST3: /Users/"your username"/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/Stems.vst3

AAX: /Users/"your username"/Library/Application Support/Avid/Audio/Plug-Ins/Stems.aaxplugin

Ensure your plugin is always updated with the latest version using Moises' desktop app.

⚠️ VST Plugins are available in the Pro Subscription. If you are a free or Premium subscriber, you must upgrade your account to Pro to use the plugin.
