We’re expanding capabilities over time, but this first release is focused on being your virtual bandmate, not a one-click hit machine.
Here are a few tips to get the most out of AI Studio:

- Do start simple. Use short prompts like “add drums to this chord progression” or “generate a bassline that follows my guitar riff”.
- Do provide musical context. AI Studio works best when it can follow your recording’s tempo, chords, and style.
- Do experiment with genres. Try prompts like “rock-style drums,” “jazz bassline,” or “electronic kick pattern” for variation.
- Do layer and edit. Treat AI Studio like a virtual bandmate to generate parts, tweak them, and combine them with your original tracks.
- Do explore presets. Genre-aware presets can help guide the AI toward the sound you’re looking for.
❌ Don’ts
- Don’t reference specific artists or songs. Our models are not trained using the names of the artists, songs, or albums so these terms will not be recognized by the models, so prompts like “play like [famous artist]” won’t work.
- Don’t expect full songs from text alone. AI Studio is designed to generate instrumental parts (stems) that adapt to your own recordings, not complete finished songs.
- Don’t overload prompts. Avoid long or overly complex instructions and instead use clear, focused prompts deliver better results.
- Don’t treat outputs as static. Everything is editable, so use the in-browser tools to refine timing, feel, and arrangement.
- Don’t forget it’s v1! This is just the beginning! Your results may vary, and exploring within the supported use cases (drums, bass, guitar) will give you the best experience.
