Resolution steps
Mastering is the final step in preparing your finished production and mix for distribution on streaming platforms and/or playback on devices such as mobile phones, computers, and speaker systems.
Moises offers 3 mastering algorithms: Auto, Advanced, and Reference Track.
Below is a quick overview of each mode:
- Auto mode (Pro Plan Only): By selecting “Auto mode,” Moises will automatically detect your track’s peaks and effortlessly adjust its parameters with minimum tweaking. All you have to do is select your desired loudness profile (Spotify, YouTube, Tidal), and Moises will take care of the rest. If you’re an aspiring musician and/or beginner music producer, our team recommends starting off on Auto Mode.
- Advanced (Pro Plan Only): In Advanced mode (we recommend that for users who already know a bit about mixing and know what they’re looking for when mastering), you’ll have more freedom to sculpt your sound by adjusting its final level, peak, and the intensity of the Moises mastering algorithm. You can also attenuate some frequencies (mostly low- and/or high-frequency) for a smoother result.
- Reference track: In Reference Track mode, you’re able to upload any song and use it as a reference for the mastering tool when shaping your final product. Make sure your reference song matches the genre/feel of your final mix.
For better results, we recommend always using a high-quality/uncompressed WAV or AIF file as your reference track.
